“And yet not a dream, but a mighty reality-a glimpse of the higher life, which is granted to the man who, amid the rush and roar of living, pauses four short years to learn what living means.”-W.E.B. DuBois

Wow, guys. It’s been a busy couple of days, weeks, months. etc. My birthday went really well for those of you who are wondering, tons more thriftbooks posts on the way, as well as I’m going to have to catch up with a ton of reviews that I need to for the books I’ve read so far. I’ve read 11 books in September and am really proud of myself. All of those will be reviewed as I make my way through getting posts up. It’s more slow and steady these days. But that’s sometimes better, right? So, anywho, onto the subject of this post. Chicken Soup for the College Student’s Soul is part of the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series and lately, this has been like the air I needed in life. This series, means so much to me and it’s definitely helping soothe and calm me in tough times. They have a large variety of subjects in their series and I’m here to tell you guys, they’re totally worth the read. Now, specifically we’re going to talk about Chicken Soup for the College Student’s Soul today, which is extremely important to me right now because I am currently a first semester returning college student. And returning, older students-you might not think this type of book applies to you but it does! It so does! It doesn’t matter what age you are that you’re experiencing college, this should be on the essential reading list for any college student of any type. It has great advice, and will definitely comfort you when the going gets tough and setbacks appear in your academic plans. I would give this book a 12/10 if I could. It deserves way more than a 10! It’s something that I keep on my desk while studying and I can’t help but just love it more and more every time I read it. So, with that said, what book am I going to be reviewing next? Well, I’m glad you asked. (or didn’t) haha. Next book that I’ll be reviewing is going to be…..

Yup. We’re doing a Disney Astrology book. I’ll be sharing which Disney character is associated with my birthday, and also going through some of favorites that I’ve read and seen in the book thus far. So get excited, get hyped and as always, happy reading!-Caroline
